Universalism? by ArtNGame215 Universalism? by ArtNGame215
If the belief of Universalism was true, then maybe God would be something like this? Where everyone goes to heaven, no matter what.

Many people can't believe God would send people to Hell and refuse to believe it, claiming God is a kind, loving god. Which He is, but God is also a God of justice and holiness, but they deny what the Bible clearly shows multiple times about Hell, that is where people will go if they don't follow Jesus.

If people deny God and His existance and refuse to follow His ways, or follow their own version of God, why do they deserve a place in heaven?

Sadly, the idea that Hell doesn't exist and that it's only a state of mind is starting to get more popular with Christians, especially with those in the Emergent Church movement.

Remember what Jesus said in John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

You are aware that your Bible was translated to fit the traditions of men and that, when the words translated into Hell (Sheol, Hades, Tartarus, and Gehenna) and eternal (aionian and olam) are given their true English translation, the threat of eternal torment ceases to exist. If you don't believe me, then consider this.

Jonah 2:6-I descended to the roots of the mountains. The earth with its bars was around me forever, But You have brought up my life from the pit, O LORD my God.

Jonah was in the belly of the fish for three days yet, according to the Bible translation, he was in the belly of the whale "forever". Will eternal torment in Hell last for three days?!? A terrible time but a far cry from eternity. The English-translated Bible speaks of the priesthood of Aaron lasting "forever". It doesn't last forever. It was replaced by the priesthood of Jesus who made one sacrifice, Himself, for man rather than the annual sacrifices made by the high priest. Our Bibles were not written in English but in Greek and Hebrew. The translators, beholden to the traditions of men, distorted the original Greek and Hebrew. Try doing research on the dubious translations (King James included) and find out how so much of what Christians think they know comes from those mistranslations.

Oh and if you think it's unfair the atheist and dictator got into Heaven eventually, read Matthew 20:1-6, the Parable of the Workers.

I don't understand where people get universalism from? I mean, it's blatantly un-Biblical.
