Cindy Jacobs Strikes Again!

Description

Boy is Cindy Jacobs getting a lot of heat lately. And what she has said a few days ago is so offensive I felt I had to say something to my followers and anyone else here on deviantart. I thought her comments a couple years ago on why all those blackbirds mysteriously died was insane, but what she has to say about Native Americans recently is so beyond that.

Remember when I exposed her on my False Teacher's project? (I know I need to get started again on that, lol) Well, some might say I should update the description there with her latest outburst. But since her latest video message is so offensive, possibly the most offensive comment she has ever said, and not enough Christians seem to be calling her out on it, I felt I had to do this.

In her video message here: [link] Cindy Jacobs goes into detail on the Leviathan Spirit. Though right from the start, she's taking Job 41 completely out of context since that chapter shows no hint of there being a Leviathan spirit. Instead, it's God talking to Job, talking about the Leviathan (possibly a crocodile, hippo or possibly even a dinosaur that might have lived then), in that God is comparing His might and strength to this animal, also to demonstrate how limited Job's knowledge was and that Job had no real right to question God's actions, as far back as Job 38, when He joins in the conversation with Job and his friends.

But that's not the point here. The point is what Jacobs says at about 2:32, after explaining how the Leviathan spirit is worshipped in different cultures around the world .

"If you have in your bloodline any animas, any Native American blood for instance, not all Native's worship the serpent or crocodile, many did. But you might want to renounce that and repent of that generation of inequity. If you are, perhaps if you're Mexican and you might have indigenous blood in you, or Mayan blood, those who have Aztec blood in any way, you need to repent of the sin of animism before you begin to deal with this spirit because it'll be very active in your bloodline. We know that some of the totem poles, even in the north of America and Virgina's and places like that, would have the crocodile in their totem poles. So if in their totem poles, there is a crocodile spirit, you can say that there could be a very strong spirit of Leviathan operating in that area, and if it has not be dealt with as a territorial spirit, if you are not certain what territorial sprits are, you can log into the USRPN, subscribe to the vance? school and learn about territorial spirits."

Holy cow. So much ignorance and possibly racism in that quote. So natives and even Hispanic's, (which I have some of) today have to feel guilty for what their ancestors worshiped? Even if they are possibly Christian? Repent for sins we never did? Also what about the "White Man's" sins against those Native Americans? Killing them, taking away their kids and forcing Christianity on them? The government disobeying treaties? The Trail of Tears that cause many Indians to move away from their lands and go west and many dying on the way? Killing the buffalos which the Indians needed for food and clothes? And other sins by those that called themselves Christian or felt superior to the Indians? There were real Christians who did protest those actions towards the Indians, but not enough of them to make a difference it seems.

Is it any wonder a bunch of atheists and even Native Americans are very angry with her and think all Christians are nuts?

And according to Cindy Jacobs on her Facebook here: [link] after getting a lot of criticism, this is what she had to say on June 5th 2013:

"Dear friends, last night we experienced an organized attack on this page. As a result, we had to disable the comments and reply functions for now. Those who know me well know that I actively listen to other views and opinions, but we could not allow the vicious and hurtful language to appear. So, for now, we move on and I'll keep you all informed on everything that's going on. God is good and he deeply cares for His people...like you!"

That didn't stop anyone, since anyone can still leave a comment on her status updates. I left a few myself if you can find them. Then Jacobs had this to say the next day:

"You’ve probably noticed all of the discussion on this page, so I thought I’d take this opportunity to address it. In addition to all of your posts here, we have received a number of messages asking me for an apology. Mike and I have understood the need to apologize to Native Americans and have been doing so since the mid-1980’s when we began acknowledging the sins of the United States, our European ancestors, and our own sins toward the First Nations peoples. The Trail of Tears, the Sand Creek Massacre, more than three hundred broken treaties with the Native Americans and our Anglo paternalism and racism are but a few examples of the many, many sins against the First Nations people for which we have repented.

These injustices are also why we were actively involved, beginning in about 2004, both behind the scenes and publicly, with the Native American Apology Resolution that was finally passed in 2009 and are hoping that it will someday be formally issued to tribal leaders in a White House ceremony.

Because of our love for our First Nations people, it grieved us when Kyle Mantyla of the Right Wing Watch organization took my teaching on prayer and, without our permission, cut it in such a way as to misrepresent what we believe is the presentation of a biblical, spiritual truth – which is that there exists a leviathan spirit, spoken of in the book of Job, which can influence the lives of people who have worshipped it, or who have had ancestors who have worshipped it. And that to be free of that evil influence, one must renounce or repent of that worship.

That prayer teaching was intended for a Christian audience and was presented in that context. (I invite you to watch the entire teaching here: [link]. Please understand that my comments were not directed towards our First Nations people in general and I am deeply sorry for any offense Mantyla’s misrepresentation has caused you. Clearly, the worship of various spirits has historically been a worldwide phenomenon and is not limited to any one people group. It was not possible in a ten minute prayer teaching to cite more than a handful of examples but there are many. The Bible is crystal clear that the worship of false gods and spirits restricts God from releasing to people the blessings He so desires to pour out.

We are sad that people continue inflicting emotional pain on Native Americans. Whether they intended to or not, when bloggers Kyle Mantyla of Right Wing Watch and David (who did not post his last name) at crooksandliars.com, lifted out of context a short segment of a longer prayer teaching for Christians, they made it appear as comments directed at all Native Americans. That’s either sloppy or dishonest journalism. And it pains us that so many people will take at face value, information posted in blogs that have clearly demonstrated a harsh, anti-Christian agenda.

Thanks, again, for all of your messages and expressions of concern."

Here's Right Wing Watch's shortened version of that video, which Jacobs claims was cut and used out of context: [link]

Actually, while the video Right Wing Watch has used does show slight editing, to shorten the overall video, Jacobs was not taken out of context, which you can tell by watching the full video I provided above and I did my best to provide the full quote. And even with that explanation from Jacobs, plenty of people are still very angry her. And what surprises me, is she still has her followers defending her as a woman of God, if you read the comments on her facebook status.

And other websites show anger towards Jacobs in the comments:

I left a comment for Cindy Jacobs on one of her status' explaining Ezekiel 18, which got plenty of thumbs up. About 18 since I last checked. How does she not know about this chapter? Ezekiel 18 is about God going into detail talking to Ezekiel on how He punishes people for their own sins and won't punish a person for another person's sins. Ezekiel 18 proves there is no such thing as a generational curse and anyone who teaches so is a false teacher. Besides, it wouldn't be fair to be punished for what someone else did right?

Even for all her foolishness, it's best we pray for Cindy Jacobs, that she renounces her New Apostolic Reformation beliefs and starts following the real Jesus. And maybe doing real research on stuff before she talks about them. Looking forward to your comments.

I have no idea who this person is, and I don't think anyone is going to lose sleep over her.

Doesn't call for white people to repent for the sins of their ancestors? Oh, you mean like the way literally everybody else does?
